Hey,
Today I was playing Call of Juarez then suddenly my computer just shutdown and restarted to Windows Error Recovery, saying "Windows did not shutdown properly" etc..
I then started Windows normally and about 30 mins later while on YouTube it happened again.. Except, when it tried to restart I just had a black screen and no lights to my keyboard and mouse..
I knew it was a hardware problem so I opened up my computer and to see that the CPU, GPU and back case fan had stopped spinning. PSU fan and front case fans are spinning along with LED case lights and the system is still running.
I have reseated and removed all of my RAM, GPU, hard drive and also reset my CMOS. Again to no avail CPU fan and back case fan will not spin at all. I'm pretty sure my mobo has just died, as I did not hear any beeps from it and my motherboard usually glows with an orange light..
Specs:
Processor: Intel Quad Core i7 2600K CPU 4.2GHz
Memory: G-Skill 12GBXL Ripjaws X
Hard Drive: Samsung 256GB 830 SSD | Seagate 3TB Barracuda | Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB | Western Digital Caviar Blue 320 GB
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 2GB
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P
PSU: Corsair TX850M
Computer Case: Cooler Master Elite 430
I'm pretty sure my PSU is fine, the fan still spins and is only 4 months old.
Honestly, I just want to replace this motherboard if it is certainly the problem. I would buy the exact same one or a mobo just above. Don't really want to spend too much, cos then I'll go all out buying a new GPU and CPU with it xD lol..
I need one quick I can't wait for RMA.
