Can anyone advice me on the following situation.
I am putting together the following. Asus Maximus VI Extreme Z87 + i7 4770K and the usual hardware. I need to know what the settings should be in my UEFI boot setup. That is regarding Legacy, UEFI etc etc.. I am installing the OS to anew Samsung 840 Pro 256Gb SSD. (I know not to connect the other drives). I am told by one of the vendors I need to change something in the Boot Menu. I know that I need to set to AHCI (Default in bios). But he waffled on about Legacy, UEFI Boot and God only knows what he is on about.
Also, is the SSD already formatted? Do I need to do anything special at the ADVANCED INSTALL during Windows 8 Installation?
