Hi guys, first time user and hoping you guys can help me out.
Ive upgraded my mobo and cpu to the new haswell technology.
Cpu is a 4670k
Mobo is an asus z87-c
Existing psu is an ocz 600w
Gpu is existing radeon hd 5850
Ram is exsisting ddr3 1333 kingston hyper x
I was running vista on a 1tb sata hdd on my old system. Swapped mobo and cpu.
On first start up pc boots straight to bios. Everything detected correctly. Including hdd. However the machine won't boot windows and instead just returns to bios.
I tried loading windows from my windows dvd for a fresh install- I get the measage windows is loading files. Once the bar is complete I get the windows logo and then just a blank screen with a cursor....ive left it in these state for around 40mins with no change. Ive tried this several times with no change... im at a complete loss and have spent alot of money on my upgrade .. please help
