Is my motherboard dead?

I'm not sure what the model is. It's my friends computer and he wanted me to fix it. But I'm stuck.
He has a GPU and onboard graphics. When I try to use either of them I still get no display.
All the fans turn on and the lights on the mobo turn on. But still no display using hdmi and VGA, both on board. And VGA on the GPU.
I know it's not my cables because I use them on my own computer.
