Hi guys
I recently got a pc from a friend. It was working fine but i decide to do a clean install of Windows XP SP3.
Then after installing the Windows i installed all drivers, some of apps that i use (like Bsplayer , Winamp etc.) and some games.
I didn't have speakers at the time , so after a couple of days i bought some speakers and after connecting them to my pc there wasn't no sound ,i was very surprised that sound didn't work.I tested the speakers somewhere else and worked fine. However the sound works partial (so to say):
---I have sound in BSplayer when watching a movie and when playing The Mystery of the Crystal Portal.
---I don't have sound on Windows start up , windows shut down , a couple of games (like Hidden Mysteries , Curse at Twilight , Farm Frenzy , 3 Days - Amulet Secret , Chicken Invaders etc.) and on web (on youtube).
Another strange thing is that my green jack port doesn't work ,neither when testing in Sound Effect Configuration AC97. So i am curently useing the blue jack port.
I have checked in bios if onboard Audio is enabled and it's on Auto , i've installed latest/oldest audio driver , i've checked the sound volume on speakers , i've checked the sound volume in windows or if isn't on mute.
Still nothing , the same thing i wrote above.
