Hi there,
I have a 16-month old custom built that has recently stopped working. And by stopped working I mean a few days ago the PC suddenly turned off while it was in use. There had been no physical alterations.
Attempts to boot it would simply give a tiny 'flicker' (i.e. the PSU fan would twitch, some of the lights would blink once), before returning to its dead state.
I have stripped my system down to the bare minimum: the mobo, RAM, CPU, CPU fan and PSU, and only had the 24-pin along and the 4-pin EATX 12V plugged in, and the situation was the same.
Upon unplugging the EATX 12V cable, the system would turn on a few seconds and stops in cpu_led. I want to know if without EATX 12V cable my pc must boot, because if it must maybe is the CPU.
My specs:
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V-PRO
RAM: 16 GB G.SKILL 2400Mhz
CPU: i7-3770k
Thanks for all.
