I have a Lenovo R61i Thinkpad. It's on Windows Vista Business. I had restored it to factory settings and was installing updates. I had downloaded and installed 78 updates. I had also set up client security with password.
The last thing I did was download an update for Java and the laptop was shutting down to install the update......but it didn't power back up.
I couldn't power it on in anyway. I have since removed power cord and battery and tried resetting the power with pressing power button 10 times and the holding for 30 secs. The power light comes back on then. But as soon as I press the power on button it begins the flash lights and makes noises that it's powering on and then shuts down again. I can't even get as far as to be able to request safe mode.
Can anyone advise on what else I can do to get my computer on.
Thanks
