Hi guys! I'm new here, and to DIY computer repair in general, so please forgive any faux pas or incorrect vocabulary.
I have a Lenoco Ideapad z565 that just quit charging. This computer is 4 years old and I have no money to take it in, but since I also desperately need a laptop I decided to do it myself.
I bought the power jack and went to replace it by unplugging it from the motherboard, but I cannot get it unplugged and I'm worried I'll break the motherboard. Is there a button I need to push that I'm missing? What's the secret to getting this unplugged? Also, is this a terrible idea in general and/or am I going about the repair wrong?
Images are attached; the white plug with red and black wires to it is what I'm trying to get off.
