I'm building around a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
The physical layout of the memory slots is Grey, black, grey, black. As Channel A uses slots 1 and 3, this would sense, as both these physical slots are grey. The manual, however, says that the order of the slots is 1,3,2,4, so that each channel comprises grey and black. That is illogical, so which two slots should I use, two greys ones or one grey and one black?
