Hey there folks!
So, I have this old laptop that a friend gave to me and told me to do whatever I wanted with it....even throw it away. The DC jack was broken, the keyboard had missing keys, the HDD was dead....ANYWAY to my point.
Part by part I brought the laptop back to life, but the installed CPU is really old. It's a Pentium M running at 2 GHz. I looked up its socket type and found out it's either Socket 479/FC-µBGA OR Socket 478/FC-µPGA.
I removed the CPU to see what the socket looked like (Check attachment). Basically, what I was wondering is, what's the best CPU I can install on this laptop? I looked up Socket 479 CPUs to purchase, but most of them had pins that wouldn't fit this socket.
Thanks in advance for any tips! :)
