Hi guys,
I've been trying to troubleshoot my build problems following this:
http://www.techsupportforum.com/foru...5&d=1113167059
I tried to upgrade my motherboard and CPU cooler on my prebuilt. But my PC would endlessly reboot without any display.
I tried everything to fix that. I made sure all the connections were in on my PSU and mobo, reapplied thermal paste, tried different ram slots, removed expansion cards/GPU, front panel connectors were correct, io shield was in, cpu was supported and I didn't see any bent pins, but I couldn't fix it
So I tried to find out if it was my mobo or CPU that was at fault by rebuilding back on my old motherboard. My PC doesn't reboot any more but it turns on without any display. I have no case speaker so I can't hear any beep codes.
Have I messed up my CPU chip somehow?
If so what can I do? I bought it prebuilt so I might not have an Intel warranty. And I don't think I'm covered by my retailer's warranty because I removed the heatsink.
