Hello guys,
I recently got a new desktop pc from a friend of mine but it wont really start up.
It turns on, reboots after 5 seconds and then stays on but wont send any signal to my screen. CD Player can be opened and closed while it's on, fans are spinning, so clearly power works. Reduced the memory sticks to 1 and tried all of the slots, no effect. Swapped the graphics card (the one in it works on an other pc, the screen also works with the other pc). Disconnected the CD player and hard drives, no effect. Finally I took out the motherboard, removed all the dust, checked the CPU and put new thermal paste on. No change either.
What is most likely to be the cause of this problem? I can't really swap out Motherboard, PSU or CPU very easily due to different sockets etc. I don't want to replace any of these expensive parts, without effect.
I'll record my pc with its side open as it's running to add some additional resource.
