I recently added a new SSD (Samsung 850 EVO) to my PC to replace my current Samsung 840 Pro as the new boot/C: drive. I installed both on the same SATA controller on my MoBo. I then ran the Samsung Migration utility via Windows to clone the drive. After some fiddling (i.e. removing all other devices from the boot order in UEFI) I was able to boot to the new drive. I then formatted the older 840 to use as additional quick storage.
No problems since. However, I noticed just the other day that my new 850 C: drive is showing in the "Safely Remove..." dialog on the taskbar. Some googling led me to disable HotSwap in UEFI. However, in my UEFI i noticed that not only is HotSwap disabled for all SATA ports, but my 850 SSD is not detected. Only the 840 and my Seagate HDD are listed.
I guess my questions are:

I guess my questions are:
- How do I properly remove the C: SATA SSD from the "Safely Remove" list?
- How do I get the UEFI BIOS to recognize the new C: drive?
- Is it a problem that UEFI does not detect the C: drive?
