CPU: i3-4330 Haswell Dual-Core 3.5GHz
Mobo: Gigabyte Z87M-D3H
Video: ATI Radeon HD7850
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 7, kubuntu
This is a bit of a long story. A few weeks ago my SSD died so I figured I'd install windows on an old HDD I had kicking around until I can afford to replace it. Windows 7 installed fine on it and booted ok but the more I used it the more BSOD's and disk read/write issues I encountered and the OS went from fine to extremely unstable over the course of an hour. I figured I had a bad HDD so I tried another and same issue which develops over time. I tried a couple more HDD's and same thing. I tried to copy large files using a kubuntu live DVD and also got read/write issues that developed with continued use. I tested this with several HDD's that were known good at the time and simply plugging a HDD into my system seems to corrupt partitions. Suspecting a BIOS issue I updated my bios from F6 to F11 which had no effect. I also reseated my ram and moved it to another slot. Currently I'm running Memtest86 but at this point I'm at a complete loss as to what to do.
