IDE port Undetected need Workaround

Hi Everyone,

I really need help on this one.

I have an old Dell Optiplex when I plug the Harddrive into primary IDE port the BIOS shows that the HDD is undetected.

However when I use IDE 2; this BIOS detects the HDD.

The problem is when I try to reinstall the OS on the HDD; I encounter an error primary port [0,0].

I know it's trying to find the HDD in the primary port.

Can you please tell me a work around?
