Whenever I play CS:GO my FPS stutters from 90 to 220 on different maps and on different spots on those maps.
My specs: Windows 8.1
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G43 (MS-7758)
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 phantom ( Board manuf. Gainward)(I got this card 3 days ago)
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K
With this gear I feel I should have at least 200-250 steady FPS on any spot on any map, even when there are Smoke grenades down(for those who play CS:GO). I've tried all sorts of things and nothing seems to stop the FPS dropping to 90 whenever there is too much happening on the screen at once(or when there are too many grenades being deployed on the map).
I'm not confident in overclocking my CPU, because I'm not sure how to and I'm afraid I might overheat my CPU.
Maybe my CPU isn't running at its full potential or something, I don't know.
Can someone help me?
Cheers,
V
