Hi, this is my first post here. I've tried looking for help in other places, but nobody was interested in helping. :(
About a day ago I decided to clean up my PC from all the dust that built up, especially the PSU since it was starting to get really loud. I ended up gently dusting off parts of mobo and all of the fans, GPU included. Once done, I put everything back, thinking all was fine. Next day when launching a game, I got some warning about hardware and performance. I checked the Device Manager, and no longer saw my GTX 460 SE listed in there.
I tried re-seating it, but it didn't work. If I'd connect my monitor to the GPU, it wouldn't display, so I have to use the mobo's.
Instead of my GTX, the graphics would go from "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter" to "Intel(R) HD Graphics" and that would make my resolution off, and a black line would appear in the side and at the bottom, seemingly pushing the rest of my screen to the side. I don't know how to explain it very well.
But again, my GPU doesn't seem to be detected, and I don't know why because I was very careful while cleaning it. Right now I have my SSD connected instead of HDD and my adapter is displayed as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".
I wish I hadn't cleaned it at all. I hope someone will be able to help me out. :(
