nividia motherboard

I am having issues with a nividia motherboard I just got. The laptop is a dell inspiron n5110 and I upgraded the mobo from a intel to a nividia mobo for gaming. I purchased a 130watt power adapter and now it will power up and it will briefly make it to the desktop before it completely shuts down. I have put 1 and 1/2 tubes of thermal grease on the heatsink and cpu. I am just down right stuck on this issue. Any life line would be greatly appreciated . I forgot to add windows 7 home premium is the OS
