i recently bent the pins in the old cpu ( 6 core AMD Phenom ) ...and now have to replace it
the motherboard is ( i think )
Asrock N68C-S UCC GeForce 7050 Socket AM2/AM2+/AM3
( it's my sisters computer ..and she has lost the manuals .....no where on the board does it give the board number )
the board supports a 6 core processor ....
the CPU is definitely gone as one of the pins bent , then snapped when i tried to straighten it out ...i think they may also be a issue with the motherboard ( static discharge )
but first i want to replace the CPU in the board ... to try and rule out if it is the board or not ....
my question is , will the above board support AMD Phenom II X4 945 Quad-Core Processor....
the board says it supports a 6 core AM3 ...can i put a quad in ( without any problems ? ) , off course the sockets are the same ie: AM3
