So, been having a lot of different issues going on with my computer this past week. I am using:
-Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 Motherboard
-AMD Phenom II 6 core 3.3GHz
-G.Skill Ripjaws (4x4) DDR3
So, when I first started having problems, I was repeatedly getting the clock_watchdog_timeout error repeatedly every time I tried to boot the system. Then, I started getting an error from Asus saying Overclocking failed! However, I am not overclocking the CPU at all, as a matter of fact, no matter which setting I choose (power saver, normal, overclock) it gives me the same error every time. So for awhile, I was able to boot by selecting my SSD from BIOS.
Eventually, I started getting an array of different BSOD errors along with the overclocking error as well as it telling me my CPU was overheating. I searched these BSOD errors and was under the impression maybe my OS was corrupted in some way because I was running Windows 10 on my SSD and Windows 7 was still on my HDD, but booting from SSD.
I got to looking in BIOS and noticed it was only registering 8 GB of my 16 GB of RAM, I also noticed a lot of the time when going through all of this that the MemOK light on the motherboard was red.
I reformatted my drive to reinstall Windows 7, reintstalled my MB and graphic cards drivers, now windows is not wanting to boot at all, and today, I am still getting the overclocking failed error, CPU overheating error, red memOK light, and now BIOS is giving me the 1 long beep, 3 short beeps, which I looked up and it said that is something along the lines of a RAM issue.
Sorry for the very long post but I am at a loss here, I'm not sure if I should try to reformat again and buy new RAM and CPU or what :ermm:
