Hi ,
My GATEWAY Laptop is giving all sorts of problems. The Model is T-6345u, The BIOS version is 89.29.3/30/2009. It originally came with Windows Vista, however, it is now running Windows 7 Ultimate N.
The problems are:
1) The cooling Fan, most times, runs very high constantly. I took it apart and clean it and apply fresh heatsink grease but no change.
2) It freezes a whole lot and runs slow most of the time.
3) Sometimes it wont allow me to install programs.
4) Sometimes It resets itself when I visit web pages. I.e, a blue screen comes up with what looks like address locations and numbers at the bottom of the page counting down.
A) I changed the hard drive and everything was good (back to normal) for about three days. then all the troubles started again.
B) I did a scan for virus but the result was negative.
I tried getting a copy of the existing or newer version of the BIOS but was not successful. My problem is that over the years, the Serial # got rubbed off.
