I recently (June) bought a new Dell Inspiron 5559 computer. On August 6, I got a message from Dell to download a BIOS update. After checking to see that it was legit, I downloaded it. After it installed, I wound up with with the message "No Boot Device Found" and could not boot my computer. After getting no help from Dell, I decided to wait and watch the Dell Support site. A week later a simple solution was posted. Turns out that the update changed the BIOS from the UEFI mode to the Legacy mode. Evidently, Windows 10 is installed in the UEFI mode. 5 minutes later, I was up and running.
Now, I am getting popups every time I boot my computer to install a BIOS update. Problem is that when I look up the update, it mentions Windows 8, 7, XP, NT, 9X, ME and DOS but not Windows 10. I want to find out if the update is suitable for a Windows 10 computer before I install it. My current BIOS is 1.1.6. Versions newer are 1.1.9 (5/16/16), 1.2.1 (2/28/16) and 1.2.2 (8/8/16). Any recommendations? Thanks!
