I'm back!!!
Ok here's the problem: new mobo installed, everything seems to be working okay, went to install operating system, win xp pro and after loading the primary drivers i get the bsd that says there's a problem with pci.sys.
now i know that this is a common problem that's been addressed in this forum many times.
but i went out to the intel website and researched the error and someone posted this as a solution:
"My workaround was to go into the BIOS and disable the dual core function and then load the operating system. It worked. After getting the major Service Pack updates, I re-enabled the dual core function. All is well."
have any of you ever heard of doing this? should i try it?
