I have an old PC running XP SP3 plugged to a KVM switch that randomly just powers off when i switch to it and use the keyboard/mouse. Like someone just pulled the plug...
I've tried different types of keyboard/mouse (ps2 and usb, directly on the KVM switch) and same thing happens.
What's weird though, is that when i use VNC to control it, everything's fine.
I've been thinking maybe there's some kind of power surge when i switch the KVM to that PC, i don't know... I also wanted to buy a multimeter to see if there wasn't any current leakage. But i'd have no idea how to proceed and how to check. Any ideas ?
