Stock fitted AMD CPU cooling paste

Hi, just bought an AMD A6 5400K which comes with a stock cooler. I see that the stock cooler comes with a layer of thermal paste already applied to the base of the heat sink. Is this paste any good or should I remove it and apply a custom thermal paste? Not done an upgrade for a couple of years.
