I have experienced computer shutdowns for a while now, I'm not the best computer person and i dont really know what to do with this one. First i had a lot of bluescreens randomly so i just tested some things like deselect my rams and putting them in one by one. The problem was one of the rams and i never had bluescreens again, but instead my computer shuts down after i have had it on for about 6 hours+. If i turn it on again it will shut down after around 10-30 min so i have to have it turned off for some hours before turning it on again.
My guts tells me that my cpu gets to hot but im not sure, so what tests shall I do to be sure?
I have both Piriform Speccy and Core Temp, and if im only browsing my cpu is around 49c-55c and when i turn on a pretty heavy game my cpu can get up to 79c. Which i think is pretty high.
Here is my specc:
Windows 7 64 bit
Compaq q2159 ATI radeon HD 5700 series
AMD Phenom II X4 965
Gigabyte technology Co., Ltd. M720-US3 (Socket M2)
932GB Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 ATA Device (SATA)
5GB ram DDR2 @ 399 MHz (6-6-6-18)
FSP Group INC, model: AX500-A
At the moment i have my side open if it is some kind of cpu failing but it keeps shutting down.
Really need help with this problem, thank you!
