So went away for a weekend come back computers not switching on making 3 long beeps. Have mini heart attach about to check box when I notice my screws are missing. Have another mini heart attack open box...
Idiot nephews went and put DDR2 ram(Which was half way sticking out) in my DDR3 mobo.
Removed RAM, learnt my Nephews a few new swear words and put the fear of a 1/2 inch thick leather belt in there souls, put old Ram back in. No boot still 3 beeps. Try again but use other ram slot
SUCCESS!!!
But it seems they fried something on that slot or maybe bent a pin or something.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there anyway to fix it or will I be limited to single channel till I upgrade again (Very Unlikely for atleast a year or 2).
MSI H61M-P25
2x2gb ADATA DDR3 1333 Ram
