ASUS BIOS Corrupted

I have an ASUS M4N68T L VE2 motherboard . On boot , there seems to be no ASUS logo or the BIOS options and I do not know how to recover the BOS options. However my system loads the GRUB2 boot menu (however keyboard is not recognized/unresponsive)and automatically boots into the default linux OS. The OS functions without any problem.

1. I long pressed "Ctrl" after the speaker beep .( First I hear one beep and followed by 2 small beeps). I get Amercan Megatrends logo which says "No keyboard detected". This disappears very fast and grub takes over. But there is no problem in the keyboard and it functons well within the OS. Also on power up 3 led lights in keyboard flashes which means power goes from mobo to keyboard.

2. I have got the ASUS rescue CD , but it appears as if it has to be run from Windows. The ASUS CD is booting ISO linux and asks me to press a key but the press is not recognized

3. I tried moving the jumper from the MOBO slot (12 to 23 and back to 12), removed the battery , put it on after 30 secs. It does not seem to work

4. I am unable to set boot priorities as BIOS does not show up (tried various keys F2,F12,F8, Del) nothing works. As a result , the system only boots from HDD. If I remove HDD , the system reads the CD ROM drive.USB boot is not working.

5. I cant make out how to flash the BIOS if at all there is a possiblity. downloaded BIOS (ROM) file. But what should I do/ Burn it to a CD?

6. Wndows 7 install disk is not able to sort out things as to boot CD I have to disconnect HDD and upon reconnecting (case open) it s not recognzed

Is my MOBO dead ? Pl help
