Hi!
I've recently had problems with my HP Pavilion DV7 6010so -laptop. It became very slow, so I reinstalled the whole OS. It didn't help, so I've been trying to root out the problem. Today, I ran SIW Event Viewer and saw this warning many times:
Could this be the cause of the problem? I checked Windows' power-saving settings but everything was set to highest possible performance. Insyde's BIOS is complete crap, the only option is to set fan state to always on and it's currently enabled, although it doesn't really do what it should. Temperature isn't the cause of the problem either, my idle temp is around 50C and I still have this warning spammed on event log. HP's own driver downloads had nothing useful.
I could try to download new chipset drivers from AMD's site but I'm not sure what drivers I should use.
Here's my specs:
Model: HP Pavilion DV7 6010so
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6650M, Radeon HD 4250 (disabled, used for power-saving only)
CPU: AMD Turion II P560 Dual-Core Processor
RAM: 4GB, DDR3
Chipset Northbridge: AMD 785GX Revision 00
Chipset Southbridge: AMD SB800 Revision 40
