Reading a Schematic

Hi..Recently I purchased two motherboard schematics.....Is there anybody who can explain to me in simple terms how I can read these ..Now as I understand these schematics have "Test Spots" marked on them...and If I understand correctly one can set the MB up and power it.....and using a multimeter with the black lead to ground ..probe a test spot with the red lead and take a voltage reading...
Are these Test Spots marked on the schematic and if so how are they marked??

I would be sincerely gratefull if someone could give me some basic tips here...thanks Hk
