Sony Vaio All In One Stuck Input?

Any one experienced with Sony Vaio All In One's, Help please - my poor client has been down for over 2 weeks now and we're all fit to be tied.

Sony Vaio All In One VGC-LV290J.

Initially it would halt on start up and not go to POST at all or go any further.
Fan would start up and then would shut back down almost immediately.
HDMI Select and Display Off would light up and be selectable but no other lights, sounds, power up, etc.

Replaced Motherboard and Power Supply.
Now I am getting power up and fan spinning and it keeps running.
Fan continues to run loud but PC will NOT boot or go to POST.

It does function with HDMI input as a monitor, so I can plug in an HDMI device and display it on the screen just fine - - all as normal for that function, so I know power is good and know screen is fine and displays.
On Screen Display Menu will come up and all buttons function to adjust settings but that is all; nothing further.

Seems to be stuck on HDMI input and information screen will keep flashing saying it is on HDMI Input with no signal when I disconnect any HDMI device and says it will enter standby in 10 seconds. This keeps flashing and it will go no further into any other mode.

It will not go to computer mode at all.
Pressing HDMI select menu that is what Sony directs does nothing - that LED does not light up at all, which it originally did in its "dead mode".
Power indicator on top will not light but I can hear it powered and use it as a monitor fine. HDD indicator light does not spin up at all, but even then I should get to PC mode and POST to even see if that has issues, but none of that goes forward.
Stuck in HDMI input mode is the best I can gather to date.
