CMOS Reset, Loaded Default Config, Won't Boot.

Hi,

I own the MSI P55-GD65 motherboard.

A bit of background: I always had Win7 and Arch Linux set up as a dual boot, using Grub as a bootloader (I believe Grub 2). Anyway, as I was away at school, my brother decided to use the computer for his own, mostly benign, purposes. One day a few weeks ago he calls me saying that upon selection of Windows on Grub, the system displays "BOOTMGR Can't Be Loaded, press CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot." Fast forward to today; second day back home, I load up to try and figure out what's up. Upon attempting to boot Arch Linux, it reported that the system cannot mount the partition. So I attempt to pull up the BIOS, realize that I set a password, can't remember the password, and decide to clear the CMOS to clear the password.

So here I am, I cleared the BIOS settings by switching the jumper pin, JBAT1 on the MSI board I believe. Put it back into its original position after waiting a minute or two. Booted up, everything appeared to be just fine. Pressed F1 to enter the setup, and I chose load default setup. Hit save and exit, suddenly the computer shuts off and automatically reboots. After rebooting it seems to do absolutely nothing. What steps should I take to resolve this issue?

EDIT: I've reset the CMOS multiple times at this point, switching between "Load Optimized Default Settings" and "Load Failsafe Default Settings"
