Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3

The back panel has an Esata connection and in a year or so I have never tried to use it

I now have a 2 bay USB/Esata hdd desktop unit

Now when I tried the other day nothing happens.. Windows 7 does not recognise that there is a new drive plugged in at all
Not even in disk management

Thought it could be a driver issue
Updated to latest bios
Installed all applications that were needed such as usb3 drivers from their website (USB 3 had suspiciously stopped working also)

Anyone had this problem before?
