Motherboard Issues?

Hello fellow tech enthusiasts. I recently had obtained a HP P6320y Desktop that will not boot. I grabbed it in hopes that I could repair it at relatively low or no cost. The issue is that the machine will power on, however there is no display or beep codes. I had purchased a new PCIE x16 video card to try to override the integrated chipset and I still do not receive any video. I pulled the memory sticks (4 x 2GB Sticks) in hopes that I would at least get a beep code but alas, i received none. I tried a higher Wattage power supply to see if it was a power issue but no difference. I also tried to reset CMOS by pulling the battery and there was no difference. I am assuming that it is a dead motherboard, but I wanted to make sure before i invest in a replacement. My MOBO is a M2N78-LA Violet6. I mainly grabbed it (for free) because of the phenom II. It seemed a waste to just recycle it.
Any advice? Im not willing to sink a ton of money into this because it is not exactly the newest technology. But if I need to replace the MOBO I will probably end up seeking advice on what I can get in the MATX form that will support the phenom II.

Thanks in advance!
