Hi I've just started a project with my grandson and have come across a problem we've been unable to resolve, but have had a clue having read your 'benchtest' article.
The case has an on/off button that has a pair of wires (black/green) that has a plug marked 'atx sw' and another (green/white) with a plug marked 'power led'. On the motherboard are eight pins marked 'reset', hddled', pwr-lde' and ps-on', We can't work out what wires go where. Also behind the on/off' switch are three small metal 'pins' but there is no wires attached and we wondered if this is this likely to be the on/off psu switch?
I should mention the Pc was partly dismantled before we started work on it and we have hot-wired the PSU to ensure it works.
Thank you
