Hi, I've been having issues with my motherboard recently. It would boot up and display the message "Overclocking failed" even though I haven't overclocked it. I've also had issues with USB ports not working or only working sometimes so I figured I'd update the BIOS since mine is on v1.0 from 2014.

When I got the OC failed message I would go into the BIOS by pressing F1 and check to see if there's anything wrong, which there isn't because I haven't touched any of the settings in over a year, and save it and restart. It used to be that it would restart fine after I would save the settings. But, now the PC turns off and restarts to a black screen. Literally nothing appears, there's no signal being sent to the monitor. The fact that it turned off after I saved the settings means it's readjusting the voltage to some part on the motherboard. Why would it do this? I haven't changed the settings.

Every time it would do this I had to reset the CMOS using the button on the I/O panel. It would work after resetting it.

Anyway, I downloaded the latest BIOS version, put it on a FAT32 USB stick. Restarted and went into BIOS to update using m-flash. It was successful. It restarted after saying "Successful" but the screen remained black. I tried resetting the CMOS but it didn't help. I still get the same blank screen.

So the PC boots up to a blank screen. The keyboard seems to work in the USB 3.0 port, but not in the 2.0 port at the top of the motherboard. On the motherboard itself, there's an LED that indicates the postcode. It says 00 when I boot it up. After a few minutes the PC restarts itself.

However, if I press random keys on the keyboard it restarts a lot faster than usual. What does this mean?

I've tried to restore the BIOS using the AMI Recovery guide seen here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=269702.0

I've tried all the USB ports at the back of my motherboard. After I turn on the PC, the USB flash drive turns on for a second and then turns off. It's like it only gets power for a brief second. However, my keyboard still gets power.

Am I doing it wrong? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
