Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 5560 and I'm having a boot issue. It boots fine but when I have my external HDD (WD Elements 2.5TB) plugged in it doesn't boot. It stops at the black screen with the blinking underscore.
I have my internal HDD set as first boot priority, and my internal optical drive 2nd. (The order of these 2 make no difference on results.)
I've seen ideas of disabling Legacy USB support from the BIOS. However, that's not an option in my BIOS. Phoenix V1.15 (Its the worst BIOS ever.) I've tried crtl-F1 along with a few other key combinations to present these obviously hidden advanced features, but got nothin'.
When I boot with F12 and select the internal HDD it boots fine while the external is plugged in.
It almost seems as though this drive is overriding the BIOS settings... It's very weird.
Any ideas or suggestions??
Thanks.
