A question regarding a CPU comparsion

Hi there,

I currently have an AMD Athlon II X2 270 processor, however in February I'm looking to upgrade to a AMD Bulldozer FX 4100. I've already checked that it is compatible with my motherboard, which it is, (M68MT-S2 rev: 3.1). My question is, is the bulldozer that I'm looking to get significantly better than my current processor? I'm a frequent PC gamer and I play games such as Battlefield 3, World of Warcraft etc and I believe upgrading to a quad-core will greatly improve my FPS, right?

I currently get 40-65 FPS on Battlefield 3 everything on low settings (it depends on the map and the area that I'm in) and I get 40-90 (large gap I know) FPS on World of Warcraft on ultra settings. My graphics card is an AMD Radeon HD 6790 and I have 8GB RAM.

So, back to the question, will upgrading to said processor make a nice difference? Thanks.

EDIT: AMD Bulldozer FX-6100 is also in my price range, it's a six-core, is it worth the extra £10?
