Hi there,
Name's Omer, first time here... you guys just rock.
A bit of background: I know my way around computers, I usually do my own maintenance on PC and Android systems, software and hardware both. So no worries there
A friend called me because her screen went black for good after her laptop took a dive a few days back. everything works, meaning you can use a different monitor to use the computer and it works. But obviously she wanted her screen back.
The computer in question is a Toshiba Protege R700-1E9
So...
I cracked open the back cover, and luckily saw a small loose chip falling.
I retrived it, that's how it looks:
I would like to know where this belongs... and whether standard tools will suffice for the job.
And of course, is this an explanation for the problem, or do you suspect/see something else? The USB slot was also misplaced, so more than one thing took a hit in the fall it would seem...
Thanks a lot in advance folks.
Omer
