I have a Dell Dimension E520 - Intel Pentium 4 524 Prescott 90nm 3.06GHZ - Socket 775 LGA - Dell Motherboard OWG864 Hyperthreading Supported and Enabled. This PC is currently serving as a paper weight.
There was a Core 2 Duo option at time of purchase. Is there any reason to think I could but a Core 2 Duo processor of some speed and with the appropriate socket size and get this to work together?
Dell doesn't not know - or so they say.
