What is the fastest cpu today? I am assuming it is quadcore? or have they passed that? I want to build a new desktop system. What I usually do is find the fast cpu of the day, but a good mobo that will support it but then buy a celeron for it - or a much slower speed cpu...then as prices drop for the high speed cpu, I upgrade. Can someone help me get some of this basic info?
